Description:   NASALCROM Nasal Spray contains a liquid formulation of cromolyn sodium that stabilizes mast cells that release histamine. By using NASALCROM Nasal Spray prior to exposure to nasal allergens, degranulation and the release of histamine from mast cells is reduced. NASALCROM Nasal Spray works only in the nose and is not known to cause side effects such as drowsiness, nervousness, or rebound congestion. NASALCROM NS has no known drug interactions and is safe to use with other medications including other allergy medications. NASALCROM does not contain corticosteroids, antihistamines or decongestants.

Indications:   NASALCROM Nasal Spray is indicated for the prevention and treatment of the symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis such as runny/itchy nose, sneezing, and allergic stuffy nose.

Ingredients:   Each mL of NASALCROM Nasal Spray contains 40 mg of cromolyn sodium in purified water with 0.01% benzalkonium chloride to preserve and 0.01% EDTA (edetate disodium) to stabilize the solution. Each metered spray releases the same amount of medicine, 5.2 mg cromolyn sodium.

Directions:

Adults and children 6 years of age and older:

• Spray once into each nostril. Repeat 3-4 times a day (every 4-6 hours). If needed, may be used up to 6 times a day. Directions on how to use pump spray are detailed on carton and package insert.
• Use every day while in contact with the cause of the allergies (pollens, molds, pets, and dust).
• To prevent nasal allergy symptoms, use before contact with the cause of the allergies. For best results, start using up to one week before contact.
• If desired, NASALCROM Nasal Spray can be used with other allergy medications.

Children under 6 years of age:   Do not use unless directed by a doctor.

Warnings:

Ask a doctor before use if you have:

• Fever
• Discolored nasal discharge
• Sinus pain
• Wheezing

When using this product:

• It may take several days of use to notice an effect. The best effect may not be seen for 1 to 2 weeks.
• Brief stinging or sneezing may occur right after use.
• Do not use this product to treat sinus infection, asthma, or cold symptoms.
• Do not share this bottle with anyone else as this may spread germs.

Stop using this product if:

• Symptoms worsen.
• New symptoms occur.
• Symptoms do not begin to improve within two weeks.

See your doctor because these could be signs of a serious illness.

As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a healthcare professional before using this product. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. In case of accidental ingestion/overdose, seek professional assistance or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.

Do not use if printed plastic bottle wrap imprinted with "Safety Seal®" is broken or missing.
